INDIO was founded in Roma in 1939 and since the very beginning the quality of its products is appreciated by make-up artistes and Italian actors.
By the arrival of American productions at Cinecittà, INDIO products assert themselves in the sets of big blockbusters like Cleopatra, Ben Hur, The Bible, etc. and also in the sets of evergreen movies as Roman Holiday and La Dolce Vita. Even Hollywood Stars prefer them to American products they were using before.
In parallel with movies, cosmetics INDIO spread quickly in the world of television and the theatre, becoming the reference point for the quality standards that are required in the professional field.
